B&Y Cargo & Shipping Services Ltd is a cargo and logistics company shipping between Nigeria, the United Kingdom and Ireland. You may use this website for lawful purposes only, to learn about our services, request a quote, track a shipment or contact us. You agree not to misuse the site, interfere with its operation, or attempt to access it in any way other than through the interface we provide.
Any price shown by our instant quote tool, rate tables or given in response to an enquiry is an estimate for guidance only. It is based on the information you provide, such as route and weight, and is not a binding offer. The final price for your shipment is confirmed by us before you book, and may change if the actual weight, dimensions, contents or destination differ from what you told us.
When you book a shipment with us, you are responsible for:
A booking is confirmed once we accept it and, where applicable, payment terms are agreed. Individual shipments may also be subject to our separate terms of carriage, which we will make available to you.
We cannot carry goods that are illegal, dangerous or restricted by the carriers, airlines or customs authorities involved, or that are prohibited for import into the destination country. If you are unsure whether an item can be shipped, please contact us before booking. We may refuse or return any shipment that contains prohibited or undeclared items.
Prices are confirmed at the time of booking. We accept payment by bank transfer or card, and payment is required before your shipment is dispatched. Any customs duties, taxes or import charges applied by the destination country are separate from our shipping charges and are usually the responsibility of the recipient, unless we agree otherwise in writing.
The delivery timeframes shown on our website and in your quote are estimates based on typical transit times. They are not guaranteed. Delivery can be affected by factors outside our control, including customs clearance, airline and courier schedules, weather and other events. We will do our best to keep you updated and to deliver within the expected timeframe.
Shipments crossing borders are subject to inspection and clearance by customs authorities in the UK, Nigeria and Ireland. You are responsible for making sure the contents and their declared value are accurate. Any duties, taxes or charges raised by customs are payable in addition to our shipping charges.
Where tracking is available, you can follow your shipment using the tracking number we provide, through our tracking provider. Tracking information is provided for convenience and may not always update in real time.
We take care in handling your shipments. If goods are lost or damaged while in our care, we will refund the value of the goods as declared to us at drop-off, so it is important that you declare their correct value. Insurance is included free of charge for shipments valued up to ₦200,000; for shipments valued above that, insurance is charged at 7.5% of the total declared value. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, and to the extent permitted by law we are not liable for delays or losses caused by events outside our reasonable control.
If you apply to become a B&Y Cargo agent, your participation is subject to our approval and to any separate agreement we put in place. Preferential shipper rates offered to agents are subject to change and to the terms of that agreement.
The content of this website, including text, images, logos and design, belongs to B&Y Cargo or is used with permission. You may not copy, reproduce or reuse it without our written consent.
Our website links to third-party services such as WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook and our tracking provider. We are not responsible for the content or practices of those websites, which have their own terms and privacy policies.
We may update these terms from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a new “last updated” date, and will apply to bookings made after that date.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of its courts, unless otherwise required by law.
